Joe Coletti is known for his interest in international economics and
politics, and last week the Financial Times published his letter to the
editor about an issue confronting the United Nations. Coletti wrote
that a Times report had failed to mention a key argument for Japan to
join the Security Council before Germany. “It is more important for the
U.S. and the world to shape the region for a democratic and
prosperous stability. The European Union’s ill-considered proposal to
allow arms sales to China demonstrates the danger of having too many
European countries in the Security Council.”
