Big surprise there. The State Board of Elections has ruled that Jim Black beat Hal Jordan by 30 votes. The split precinct ballot error, which in theory could have required a revote to resolve, did not affect the outcome of the race as most of the 446 voters who should not have voted in the Black-Jordan race voted for Jordan.

As I said a couple weeks ago, everyone is very lucky that the race won by Ruth Samuelson in a blow-out was not close. Those 446 votes should’ve been cast in that race.
