Jimmy Carter writes today in The Washington Post ominously about “fraudulent or biased electoral practices” ? or at least “suspicious process” ? in Florida. Carter makes these charges will praising his Carter Center for monitoring elections for “meeting crucial needs” in “Venezuela.” The only crucial needs Carter met in Venezuela was Hugo Chavez’s need for an internationally respected patsy to declare his fraudulent election legit.

The truth is, Carter got jobbed in Venezuela. So he has about as much room to speak authoritatively on detecting “fraudulent or biased electoral practices” as, well, Dan Rather does on detecting forged documents faxed from Kinko’s.
