In a Spotlight, specifically targeting the 34 members of the state’s Global Climate Change Commission, Vice President of Research, Roy Cordato,
puts climate facts in perspective. Even if the Kyoto Protocol were
implemented with 100 percent compliance, said Cordato — basing his
numbers on research conducted by Dr. Thomas Wigley
from the U.S. National Center for Scientific Research — global
temperatures would only be reduced between 0.18° F and 0.37° F in 100
years.  North Carolina’s contribution to this insignificant
climate reduction would be statistically irrelevant, a point picked up
by Bill LuMaye on WPTF after reading the report.
