Viewers of News 14 Carolina’s statewide “Capital Tonight” program heard again this week from John Locke Foundation Vice President for Outreach Becki Gray, who discussed major state government news topics of the day. A key issue involved the N.C. Commerce Department‘s potential reorganization. Gray returns this weekend to the statewide N.C. Spin syndicated television show, and she continues her semiweekly politics and public policy updates for WTSB Radio listeners.

JLF researchers also earned radio airtime to discuss their work. Director of Fiscal Policy Studies Sarah Curry offered highlights from her recent report on excise taxes during a conversation with Tyler Cralle of WAAV. Director of Research and Education Studies Terry Stoops discussed the N.C. House’s opportunity scholarship, or voucher, bill with both Lockwood Phillips on WTKF and Donna Martinez on WPTF. The statewide N.C. News Network used material from the Martinez interview.

Carolina Journal Managing Editor Rick Henderson will summarize CJ‘s top news of the week during an appearance this afternoon with Bill LuMaye on WPTF. Henderson also takes part in a political roundtable discussion this weekend for Curtis Media Group’s “People In Politics.” JLF Director of Communications Mitch Kokai handicapped the 2016 presidential election contest during a chat this morning with WPTF guest host Demetri Ravanos.
