An audience at Duke University’s Sanford School of Public Policy heard John Locke Foundation President John Hood participate in a panel discussion this week about the impact of the North Carolina General Assembly’s 2013 session. The News & Observer promoted the event on its front page, and the Durham News also promoted it.

A Winston-Salem Journal letter writer cited Hood’s recent column assigning the legislature an A-minus grade for policies that promote growth, while a Laurinburg Exchange letter mentioned his recent column distinguishing the right way and wrong way to cut taxes with the goal of promoting growth.

N.C. Senate Republicans highlighted Hood’s columns this week on the bumpy ride ahead for Obamacare, the importance of containing growth in health care costs, and the need for a report card assessing public school performance.
