John Hood joined guest host Erik Spanberg on WBT Radio one week ago to discuss Pat McCrory’s performance during this first year of his new gubernatorial administration. The Fayetteville Observer interviewed Hood for an article about the conservative nature of the recently concluded legislative session, and the Greensboro News & Record interviewed him for a story about the impact of North Carolina’s repeal of the estate tax.

N.C. Senate Republicans promoted in their daily press emails Hood’s recent columns on reading the state budget, the budget’s efforts to repair North Carolina’s balance sheet, and an “optimist’s lament.” A Gaston Gazette letter writer also cited one of Hood’s recent columns on tax reform.
