Dale Folwell, the most recent winner of the John Locke Foundation’s James K. Polk Award for leadership in public office, is taking on a new role as assistant secretary of employment security in the N.C. Department of Commerce.
One suspects that if Folwell applies to unemployment insurance the same attention to detail he has used in the past to highlight North Carolina government’s unfunded liabilities in areas such as the State Health Plan, taxpayers will benefit.
