The Herald-Sun reports that the two most popular non-fiction books at Durham’s public library are:

“The Politician” by ex-John Edwards aide Andrew Young and “Game Change” by John Helleman and Mark Halperin, which peels back the veil on the Edwards campaign and John and Elizabeth personally.

Meantime, Elizabeth Edwards deemed it appropriate to take a swipe at Sarah Palin during Edwards’ remarks at a Carrboro storytelling conference. The News & Observer reports:

At the beginning of her story, Edwards warned the sold out crowd that she wasn’t funny. But she acknowledged that she had written down a few “notes” on her hand – the words ‘Mom’ and ‘Dad’ scribbled on her palm – “in honor of Sarah Palin…a really fantastic mother,” she said, laughing.

Considering what we now know about Elizabeth Edwards — thanks to the book “Game Change” referenced above — this behavior isn’t surprising.
