Another local government
in the Old North State is at it again, giving tax breaks and economic
incentives to corporations. This time Johnston County is on the
“Corporate Welfare” gravy train.
The Town Council and Johnston County Board of Commissioners on Monday
agreed to award economic incentive grants totaling more than $130,000
over five years to Colonial Carton Company Inc. of Clayton.
Now correct me if I am wrong, but this
corporation is promising on creating up to 25 jobs. I believe
that is a cost of $5,200 per job. Oh those incentives, what
would we do with out them?
