Today the committee discussed several of the matters they are dealing with this year, which includes:
– Completing a report on the state retirement system by this fall
– Taking a look at the state motor vehicle fleet
– A follow-up on the original state aircraft report
– The examination of motor vehicle registration and license plate services offered
– The discussion of the possibility of an excise tax on real estate, the money from which would go towards helping the elderly and mentally ill
– The committee members taking a trip to visit the Global TransPark sometime in August or September
