A Wake County Superior Court judge has denied a temporary restraining order requested by five cities —including Lexington —– halting petitions against annexation.

The cities’ request “challenges the constitutionality of new laws that now hand more power to property owners as municipalities attempt to expand their boundaries into unincorporated areas.”

Somehow I’m missing the logic behind that argument.
