OK, I heard Rush going on about the Washington Post/ABC News poll finding on judicial fillibusters so I checked the data.
Questions 33 through 36 dealt with the judiciary and the Senate.
Support for Democrats in the Senate was marginally less than for Senate
Republicans. A majority thought judges are fine, but one-fourth of
respondents said judges are too liberal. More thought it Democrats were
right to oppose 10 of Bush’s 35 Appeals Court nominees.

On the
question of “changing Senate rules to make it easier for the
Republicans to confirm Bush’s nominees,” however, the opposition
swelled to 66 percent, with just 8 percent expressing “no opinion.”

Rush is mad, but this looks to me like people recognize the damage
that can be done to minority rights in the name of getting things done.
