What’s with Judy Woodruff? She looks emaciated, and she needs to go to the hair salon. Is she trying to look like Glenn Close laying in the tub at the end of “Fatal Attraction”? She’s doing a slow-pitch interview with Michelle Obama, and the pitches are ultra slo-mo. Michelle called her speech last night an “expanded version” of the stump speech she’s been giving for the past 19 months, but I didn’t hear anything about this being a mean and unfair country. More like an edited version of her stump speech.

Speaking of Judy, I have never taken her seriously since Halloween Night in 1971 when she, a reporter for an Atlanta station at the time, accompanied Amy Carter on her trick-or-treating run. It was real Peabody material.

UPDATE: Michelle Obama just said that too many people “can’t make it on the resources we’re providing” (emphasis added). This tells you all you need to know about the differences between liberals and conservatives.

UPDATE 2: Mass. Gov. Deval Patrick, whose speeches Obama likes to crib, just told the crowd he was born “in poverty on the Southside of Chicago.” So were Obama and Michelle. Must have been a crowded neighborhood. America’s so racist that three black people from the poor parts of Southside Chicago are national political figures simultaneously.
