Today is the 67th anniversary of the Allied invasion of Europe. An estimated 3,000 Allied soldiers died in the action at Normandy. There were no filibusters in Congress about a “meaningless loss of life,” there were no “War Is Not the Answer” bumper stickers, there was no Code Pink keeping track of and gloating over every death.
