The N&R’s Doug Clark adds Rep. Alma Adams to the list of local state representatives “who are deep into Jim Black denial.”

Clark writes:

When we asked her about Black during our editorial board interview yesterday, Adams’ first response was that the scandals whirling around the House speaker are a “Republican ploy” to draw people’s attention away from President Bush.

What really alarms Clark about Adams and fellow legislators Earl Jones and Maggie Jeffus “is the idea that they’ll return him to the speaker’s post again next year. That is, if he hasn’t been convicted of crime by then.”
