Never mind the case of mistaken identity in this Durham County DWI case.
Burlington Times-News reports:
When Shannon Whack, 31, was arrested March 17 for driving drunk with two small children in the car, she was booked into jail under her sister’s name because that was the name and birth date she gave police.
…Whack had been at a party at her then boyfriend’s house. Late that night after they had been drinking, Cox said, Whack’s boyfriend became abusive and assaulted her, so she took her children and left.
Police pulled her over at 3:30 a.m…..
Surprise…another warrant for Ms. Whack’s arrest was issued when she didn’t report to her probation officer.
