Under the Dome reports that Democratic U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan is not pleased with an ad state Senate leader Phil Berger launched a few days ago touting North Carolina’s voter ID law. According to Dome, a statement from Hagan’s re-election campaign

said Berger had backed “the most restrictive voting law in the country” that had even drawn the ire of Republican Colin Powell.

Clearly, Hagan would do well to look for her news from sources other than the New York Times and the News & Observer … such as Carolina Journal, which in separate stories we published recently found that our new election laws not only would remain among the most liberal in the nation but also are expected to have a modest impact, if any, on voter turnout.
