You know that property that New London, Conn., needed so desperately to take from homeowners who had lived there for years? You know, the land that the Kelo family sued to keep but that an idiotic Supreme Court decision allowed New London to take from them and give to another private citizen all in the name of progress? Well, not a thing has been done on the land, and might not be for some time, if ever. Oh, and to make things even better, the new private owners of the land want millions of dollars from the state government (over the millions they’ve already received). Can anyone say shakedown?
