Amazing!!   This computer game company decided to come to NC without government “incentives.”  The N&O reports
that the company, Destineer, “decided to forego seeking financial
incentives because they would have required too much tiime to negotiate
as production deadlines loom.”  Company president states that his
employees “are tired of the long commute and the two-bedroom apartment
for two grand a month” [in LA, NYC and Seattle].

It is too bad
that state and local leaders are too busy passing out taxpayer money in
the form of incentives and posing for photo-ops rather than doing the
things that will prevent NC from becoming NYC, LA, and Seattle.  i.e.
building roads to curb congestion, school choice to improve education
and lowering tax rates.  City officials, especially, are busy
implementing “smart growth” restrictions which will certainly kill the
goose that lays the golden eggs.
