8th Congressional District Democrat Larry Kissell continues to garner national attention for his vote against Obama’s health care overhaul in November. And it looks like Kissell is going to oppose the new monstrosity, too.

The freshman lawmaker made Politico‘s list of 10 people who could decide health care reform:

Most Democrats have yet to feel the full weight of the White House bearing down on them. That could prove tough for first-term Democrats who voted against the earlier bill ? or earlier supporters who don?t want to vote ?yes? again.

Liberal groups, led by MoveOn.org, pounced on Kissell after he voted against the first bill, but he signaled Thursday that his vote probably won?t change on the final round. The first-term Democrat promised voters back in 2006, during his initial campaign, that he wouldn?t cut any money from Medicare, so he doesn?t like the current package because it would trim spending for Medicare Advantage and other programs.

?It doesn?t look like things have changed, so it doesn?t look like my position has changed,? Kissell told POLITICO on Thursday. ?We need health care reform, but this is not the way to pay for it.?

Look for the clamor from the left that Kissell “betrayed” his constituents to only get louder.
