The N&R’s Inside Scoop reports that retired accountant Bill Knight will run make a run for mayor in the upcoming Greensboro municipal city elections.

Knight ran unsuccessfully for an at-large seat back in 2007, which dictates his bid for mayor will be an uphill battle. But after two years of Yvonne Johnson at the helm, common sense also dictates that a serious change at the top is needed.

Here’s Knight’s blog; surely he will use the medium to his advantage during his run for mayor.

Meanwhile, Winston-Salem’s City Council races are heating up, but Mayor Allen Joines still remains unchallenged.
