Having said that, I hope Gaga gives her Charlotte fans whatever it is they are looking for tonite. There are evidently quite a few teens and young adults who identify with Gaga’s rally cry of weirdness.
On my better days I take that as a cry for freedom and self-expression in a world very perplexing to those without critical thinking skills. On my sketchy days, Gagaism is just tired anti-Western nihilism which got old a couple years into the Weimar Republic.
Split the difference then: Gaga tonite, freewill forever.
