• The National Republican Congressional Committee goes after Democratic Reps. Mike McIntyre (7th District) and Larry Kissell (8th District), among others, for their support of President Obama’s “‘nauseating’ attacks on free enterprise.”
• State Rep. Fred Steen, R-Rowan, endorses primary opponent Richard Hudson in the runoff for the 8th Congressional District. The two other unsuccessful primary challengers, Vernon Robinson and Dr. John Whitley, endorse Hudson’s opponent, Scott Keadle.
