“Focus the Nation” is the latest effort of the GW alarmists to get the attention of the public.  This effort is organized by guess who? Professors from Cornell, Mount Holyoke and Lewis and Clark. The model curriculum offered on their website suggests that college events should have a:

Voter Registration on Site. Global warming
policy is non-partisan, but it is clearly political. Students should be
urged to register and vote their concerns.

Here is their invitation to join the movement.

Dear Friends of Focus the Nation?

Welcome to the bi-weekly e-bulletin of Focus the Nation (www.focusthenation.org <http://www.focusthenation.org/>  ), a national educational initiative on global warming. Focus the Nation is the best shot the country will get to put clean energy solutions to global warming at the forefront of national discussion in 2008, and we welcome your help in making this project so big that it simply cannot be ignored.
Even though Focus the Nation does not culminate in national symposia until January 31st, 2008, we need to get started laying the ground work now.  To seriously engage over a thousand high school, college and university campuses, millions of students, and the country?s faith and business communities, folks need to sign up their team today at http://www.focusthenation.org/buildfocus.html.   Cornell   University, and   Mount   Holyoke and Lewis & Clark Colleges are leading the way. (details below)

Please spread the word about our SE launch conference (11/18) and our NW launch conference (12/2). This week, contact a colleague or a friend and tell them about Focus the Nation. And whenever global warming comes up as a topic of discussion, thanks for telling people: the best thing they can do to stop global warming is to start a Focus the Nation team at their college, school or place of worship!

Thanks for all your good work,

Dr. Eban Goodstein, Project Director
Chungin Chung, Communications Director
