Why, oh why, couldn’t those nasty head lice just have stuck to our ancient ancestors — the chimps — instead of leaping down the line of our more current lineage, the homo sapiens?
Then my fellow fifth graders and I wouldn’t have had to endure that horrible experience of seeing Cecil Cole removed from our class at Wickford Elementary School all those years ago. As you can tell, it left a lasting impression.
