New Belgium – after receiving promises of incentives valued at “$24-$35 million (and counting)” from state, county, and city magic money sources – announced its intention to sell its new Asheville factory. News of the offering comes right after the city announced for the sake of announcement ongoing RADTIP plans. In return for the grants, New Belgium had promised to invest $175 million in the local economy and create 130 jobs paying an average wage over $50,000. Reasons for the sale may be found here.
