The NC Rate Bureau thinks insurance premiums for rental properties should increase 12.1%. One reason for the rate increase is replacement costs, which include municipal ordinances that require higher quality materials for new construction or substantial rebuilds. The rate increase coincides with the strategic visioning vibrations harmonically synergized in local government retreats in that it makes more people dependent on government, and even federal, subsidies for getting a roof over their heads. It is expected that landlords will pass the buck down to tenants who will for the most part see nothing for their added expense. Totally out of the question is the choice of living in a mud shack that costs almost nothing to rebuild.
