According to the new system, everybody deserves money from the government, but the government is broke. Governor Beverly Perdue vetoed the “extortion.” According to her spokeswoman, the governor would sign in the blink of an eye a bill that will perpetuate constant outflow in spite of reduced influx.
NC is not eligible for extended federal relief for the unemployed because its unemployment rate has improved. Republicans are faulted for not following the lead of fourteen other states that “revised their formulas” to continue receiving the aid. Legislators promise compromise is forthcoming.
