The General Assembly’s return to Raleigh means expanded opportunities for John Locke Foundation experts to share their knowledge of the legislative process with live audiences and broadcast media outlets. Vice President Chad Adams did both this week. WTXY Radio interviewed Adams on the state budget and other legislative issues, and Adams shared similar themes during a speech Thursday to the Al-Pam Republican Club in Beaufort County. Meanwhile, the Mooresville Tribune recently reprinted an Adams column criticizing local governments for using “hiring freezes” to put off tough decisions on slicing their budgets. Adams was not alone in discussing legislative issues with a North Carolina radio audience. Communications director Mitch Kokai offered a legislative update Thursday to Matt Mittan for the “Take a Stand” show on Asheville’s WWNC.
