I am so happy I took the time to frolic in the DuPont Forest waterfalls when I had a chance. I was afraid old age and gas prices might prevent a return visit. I never thought the quiet little areas – where one can jump on stepping stones, explore the Spanish moss in the undergrowth, watch the sunlight dance on the waves, and fall in as one pleases – would be “improved” for safety. Why, even the scary spider webs are useful in that they encourage more exercise. Nature trekking, unlike mall walking, has a way of stirring useful thoughts.
