CATS can’t hide behind the bogus $427 million light rail number much longer. Rob Tober is greasing the skids to break the news to the city council behind closed doors, no doubt with a big assist from City Manager-for-Life Pam Syfert. Syfert’s role will be to assure the council that everything is on track and, if not, the Wachovia arts complex switch-a-roo has provided car rental tax money to secure extra money for CATS.

Even the current $427 million number is misleading as it does not include about $60 million in infrastructure improvements along the South Blvd. line.

And, oh, did you enjoy stopping your car this weekend for the McCrory Line test trains to go by? Get used to it — the stoppage is part of the grand plan to force you out of your car and onto the choo-choo.
