Mmm-kay?

Look out folks. Says here that the city of Charlotte will spend $4m. to “study” street connectivity. But if you are looking for boost connectivity, would not the first, easiest, and cheapest thing to do be remove all the barriers built by the city in the 70s and 80s?

I’m thinking here of barriers like the one clamped on Reddman Rd. in East Charlotte, which completely re-routed traffic in the Idlewild Rd. corridor. Does the city even know how many barriers it built over the years? Or is that a separate study?
