I’ll give City Council member Dianne Bellamy-Small credit for providing Greensboro taxpayers with some comic relief as the city grapples with some testy issues these days. You’ve got the blue Dodge minivan with the TDBS license plate, you’ve got the faxed response with spelling and grammatical errors and, of course, her threat to put in a call to call Police Chief Tim Bellamy.

But what’s even funnier is Bellamy-Small’s summoning a security guard to ride with her in the elevator along with the N&R’s Margaret Moffett-Banks, who wanted to talk to her about the traffic stop. You’ve got to wonder what was going through the security guard’s mind at the time.
