Guilford County and the City of Greensboro ponder life without their respective economic developers, Rob Bencini and Jim Westmoreland.

City council member Robbie Perkins says it’s now time for business leaders to fill the void, and he says —–oooohhh —- he’ll “begin putting pressure on business leaders today.”

Perkins also says it’s time for Greensboro Economic Development Alliance president Dan Lynch and Greensboro Partnership president Pat Danahy need to step up and become “political activists,” putting pressure on elected officials to bring business to Guilford County.

Remember that Danahy engaged in some political activism a few years back and wasn’t very impressive, at least from some bloggers’ point of view.

And I’m not sure where Perkins thinks “building water and sewer lines, schools, and other projects” are “more affordable than ever right now.”

They are? Someone please explain.
