Hard to imagine, but Guilford County Commissioners and the Board of Education are going at it again over funding for school maintenance projects. The N&R presents the school board’s side, while the Rhino presents commissioners’ version.
Note that Commissioner Steve Arnold suggested that had the school board moved to sell delapidated Craven Elementary for $1.16 million instead of hemming and hawing, then the school system would have adequate maintenance funding.
Arnold added “it’s like pulling teeth like pulling teeth to get information” from the school board. Anyone who watches a board meeting knows it’s like pulling teeth to get that group to do most anything.
