Lisa Baldwin refuses to be a Mark-Twain school board member, but instead insists on shaking things up. A recent request for information resulted in the Buncombe County School Board passing new rules requiring board members to submit in writing, to the superintendent via the chair, any inquiries that would cause central office staff to work. Only Baldwin voted against the measure, as even mere citizens are allowed to place FOI inquiries. Unsatisfied with the vote, Baldwin has now gotten Representative Tim Moffitt to request the opinion of NCAG Roy Cooper on the matter.
