The Washington Post‘s Chris Cillizza published a list of the best state political reporters.  The following North Carolina reporters made the list:

Congratulations!

It is pretty embarrassing for the News & Observer that Wa Po‘s initial list did not include reporters from the largest newspaper in the capital city.  Ouch!  Cillizza says that it is an “organic list,” so the absence of reporters from N&O may change soon.

If you ask me, I think the best political reporting comes from Carolina Journal.
