As residents of areas flooded by Hurricane Florence continue the long process of recovery, Congress and state legislators have started their own process of providing resources to affected areas. Members of the N.C. General Assembly recently met to discuss their initial response to the destructive hurricane and approve legislation that would aid those in need. Terry and Kory invited Lexi Arthur, Director of Government Affairs and Outreach at the Locke Foundation, to discuss what elected officials have done since the storm passed and what they plan to do in coming months to address education, infrastructure, and financial challenges that remain.
