I’m blogging live from the North Carolina Coastal Conservative Conference, which is being held today and tomorrow at Grace Baptist Church’s Wilmington Christian Academy on College Road. The attendance at the regional event is already exceeding all expectations ? a Civitas Institute training session that began this morning attracted three times as many participants as expected.
Starting in about 45 minutes, the candidates for chairman of the state Republican Party ? Chad Adams, Tom Fetzer, Marcus Kindley, and William Randall ? will debate before the conference attendees. They’ll be answering questions from a panel of local and regional party leaders.
Then at 7pm, the dinner program begins. Speakers include Tim Phillips from Americans for Prosperity, Pat McCrory, Baker Mitchell, Thom Goolsby, Bill Graham, Les Merritt, Steve Moore, and yours truly.
