Why Cary may take on millions in new debt this year. Pick your favorite quote if you can find just one.

Dear Member of the Cary Town Council:
I am writing to say that I support raising taxes to
buy more open space, greenways, parks and sidewalks.  It is these
so called amenities that I consider necessities that have and will
continue to distinguish Cary from its neighbors.  It is  open
space, parks, sidewalks, greenways that will have people clamoring to
live in Cary.  I can think of nothing that adds to the quality of
life more than open space, greenways, and parks.

Cary has not raised taxes in a number of years, so I
would not be alarmed if it is now necessary to raise them.  Better
to raise taxes than cut services.

Sincerely yours,

I hope you will continue to control growth.  There is plenty of
growth in Cary to suit me.  I to see new buildings, shopping
centers going up everyday.
