There’s been a lot of election coverage this week, most of it focused on the big national races – Trump and Clinton winning their respective primaries. But WRAL here in Raleigh has an absolutely fantastic tool, the Primary Precinct Map. It breaks down the results for President, Senate, Governor, Lieutenant Governor, Attorney General, and the Connect NC Bond by individual precinct. So you can see how people in your area voted, where support for Bernie Sanders is concentrated (definite east-west split on that one) or where John Kasich was popular (clearly urban areas).
Here’s a look at the map for the Connect NC Bond. As you can see, Pender, Iredell, and Wilkes Counties stand out as areas of opposition.
The whole thing’s interactive, so you can look at the races you’re interested in or at particular areas. I’ve played around with it a lot over the past couple days. Enjoy!
