News reports don’t say whether Motricity sought or the Department of Commerce considered incentives to keep the software company in Durham, but WRAL’s story indicates the money likely would not have mattered:
the company said in a statement that Washington would serve as a better base because of its proximity to some of the company’s larger customers.
