From Politico comes word that Democrat Larry Kissell has drawn a challenge from Republican Lou Huddleston.

Huddleston’s first crack at politics didn’t end successfully; he lost by 24 points for a state House race last year.

But Huddleston, who is African-American, could have some cross-over appeal in a district that is 28 percent black. And while President Obama carried the district with 52 percent of the vote last year, it’s traditionally favored Republican candidates.
