Today, I feel like any time I advocate for or against something, I am merely playing into the hands of more enlightened people, who know I am a tool in their hands. For example, if I complain that Lois Lerner’s emails should be accessed, I am advocating for stronger NSA surveillance. If I want to complain that the US shouldn’t have released five terrorists, then I am pulling attention away from the IRS scandals.
