More DOT scandal, this time regarding I-40, which is falling apart two years after a resurfacing job. Cost to taxpayers for the fix: About $15 million that could be spent elsewhere.
We already know that NC DOT pays no attention to the money it spends. Is it too much to ask that the department pay some attention to the roads it is building?
