Thank goodness Don Reid took the time to call time out in the middle of state Sen. Malcolm Graham’s extreme make-over 2007. My head was starting to twirl from all the spinning.

In a letter to Creative Loafing, Reid recalls that Graham supported all the Uptown projects he now criticizes — no doubt as a way to distinguish himself from uber-Uptowner Pat McCrory.

If Graham wants to run for mayor this year, that’s fine. If he wants to run for mayor on an anti-Uptown platform, better still. But somewhere along the line there needs to be an “I was wrong” thrown in there along with a, “And I won’t ever do that again.”
