More public relations for Greensboro city bonds and Guilford County’s quarter-cent sales tax on the November ballot:

Denise Turner is vice president for governmental affairs with the Greensboro Partnership, which supports all four Greensboro bonds and the 1/4-cent sales tax in Guilford County. She is leading the public campaign for passage.

…Turner said the partnership and other supporters of the sales tax will make their case to voters that a sales tax to pay down those bonds approved in May will be a net benefit for county residents. She said that if the sales tax is voted down, property taxes will rise to pay for those schools and GTCC bonds.

…Monty Hagler, president of Greensboro firm RLF Communications, is leading the marketing effort for the $134 million transportation bond. He said grassroots supporters will be on hand at community meetings and other public gatherings to explain what they see as an economic development issue.

“Greensboro has done a great job in the past of keeping up with those needs, and this is really about keeping us ahead,” Hagler said.
