The Piedmont Authority for Regional Transportation* will build a park-and-ride lot in Alamance County, using $1.3 million in federal stimulus money. County commissioners have also met with the Burlington City Council to discuss the possibility of a $1 tax on vehicle registration to help fund mass transit.
