Marty Hurney should not get the opportunity to disrespect the guy again. Signing A.J. Feeley off of the street while declaring you need another “veteran quarterback” on the roster is a slap in the face of Moore, a three-year vet.

If you don’t think the guy can play a lick, cut him. Don’t keep bringing in retreds to play ahead of him. Moore has shown flashes of competent QB play, nothing more, but does possess a big-time arm. If the Panthers truly just want a QB to manage the game and not lose it, continually shoving Moore aside says the Marty-Foxy braintrust thinks Moore is a disaster.

Why is he taking up a roster spot, then? It cannot be Marty’s ego-driven attachment to his draft picks, a la Dwayne Jarrett and Nate Salley. Moore was claimed off of waivers from Dallas. Is it the sneaking fear that Moore might go elsewhere and turn into a decent QB if released? Does the thought of a free-speaking Californian helming the Panthers terrify the Big Cat?

Gotta be something.
